Rawcliffe, Poppleton and Askham Bar Park and Ride – will come into the city centre and terminate at the train station bus hub, (fifteen minute walk
Private car parking is also available at Kent Street (behind the Barbican), on Toft Green (access from Leeman Road direction) and at the train station (again, access via Leeman Road).
Castle, Nunnery Lane, Piccadilly and Esplanade car parks will be closed on the day of the race.
It will be easily possible to cross the route on foot or by bicycle on the day of the race.
We anticipate the roads being reopened by 5pm and the public transport network will return to normal shortly after that so, you should have an easier passage out of the city. Everything will be back to normal in time for the evening performance, although we would recommend allowing for extra journey time.
